Apple Pay Cash No Longer Supports Credit Card Following The Introduction Of "Apple Card"

In an email sent to users yesterday, Apple announced that it will end support for using Apple Pay Cash with credit cards, which means you can't no longer sending person-to-person payments to your friends or family with a credit card, it already took effect in iOS 12.2 and watchOS 5.2, while the company also renamed "Apple Pay Cash" to "Apple Cash".



However, Apple Cash still accepts debit card. Interestingly, Apple Cash stopped supporting credit card after they have introduced its own credit card, Apple Card. Apple says that this change is intent to make sure that users will not have to "worry about cash advance fees that may be charged by issuing banks".

For those who want to quickly transfer money from an Apple Pay Cash balance to an Visa debit card in the Wallet app, Apple introduced Apple Pay Cash Instant Transfer to help you get going. Transfers will only take few minutes and charge a 1 percent fee, though traditional bank transfers still available, a free ACH bank transfers will take anywhere from one to three business days.
