Apple Released iOS 12.2 And macOS 10.14.4

After the special event it held on Apple Park today, Apple released iOS 12.2, the sixth official update to iOS 12. iOS 12.2 can now be downloaded via Settings - Software Update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. In addition, Apple also released macOS 10.14.4 to Mac users, in which they can install the update via System Preferences - Software Update.


iOS 12.2 includes several major updates, introducing Apple News+ subscription service, let subscribers unlimited access to news and magazines for $9.99 per month. The update also added four new Animojis: boar, Shark, giraffe, and owl. With iOS 12.2, you can now control your TV through Control Center's redesigned TV Remote feature, send content to your TV, and ask Siri to play specific content.

Few other tweaks that iOS 12.2 introduced are : Downtime feature can now be customized by day, redesigned Apple News, AirPlay, and Control Center Remote icons, higher audio messages quality, a new Motion & Orientation switch in Safari settings for better privacy, the "About" now displays relevant information in a more logical order, as well as an updated Wallet app interface for the upcoming Apple Card service.

When it comes to macOS 10.14.4, it also includes the support for Apple News+ subscription service and added a couple of Safari refinements, including AutoFill using Touch ID and automatic dark mode themes in Safari, and of course, it includes bug fixes.
