Apple Now Offers MacBook Keyboard Repairs In-Store W/ Next-Day Turnaround Time

According to Apple's internal memo shared with Apple Store employees last week, first obtained by MacRumors; the company will now handle the MacBook keyboard repairs in-store rather than fixing them at a repair center, as it shipped service parts to stores to support on-site keyboard repairs, and to provide "next-day turnaround time."

Most keyboard-related repairs will be required to be completed in store until further notice. Additional service parts have been shipped to stores to support the increased volume.

These repairs should be prioritized to provide next-day turnaround time. When completing the repair, have the appropriate service guide open and carefully follow all repair steps.
Prior to this change, consumers will have to wait for three to five days until they got its keyboard fixed, but now, you don't have to idle for so long. Still, we'd like to recommend you to book an appointment with your local Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

The issues with MacBook Butterfly Keyboard has been around since the release of the 2015 MacBook Pro, in which users noticed them having a hard time to type certain keys on their keyboard. Apple then offered the free keyboard repair service last summer and introduced the third-generation of Butterfly Keyboard, but that didn't lessen the issue at all, in fact, even the 2018 MacBook Air users joined the list.
