Apple To Announce Q2 2019 Earnings Result On April 30th

Apple today announced that its Q2 2019 (first calendar quarter of 2019) earnings call will be held at 2 pm Pacific time on April 30th. As in the past, this fiscal report will be dropped ahead of the call, provide us a general idea of how well did Apple do in the quarter, considering they have kept lowering the price in China and other areas as a result of weak demand.

Apple has given Q2 2019 revenue expectations in its 2019 Q1 earnings report on January 29th:
  • Revenue between $55 billion and $59 billion
  • Gross margin between 37 percent and 38 percent
  • Operating expenses between $8.5 billion and $8.6 billion
  • Other income/(expense) of $300 million
  • Tax rate of approximately 17 percent
Compared the guidance to the Q2 2018 earnings result, when it brought a total revenue of $61.6B, the company seems had lowered its expectation this year. And this upcoming earnings call will be the second quarter where Apple will not provide specific unit sales data for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
