iOS 13 To Include Dark Mode, Major iPad Improvements, Volume HUD Redesign, And More

Apple to announce the next generation of macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS on June 3rd this year. Now, the source familiar with the development of the new operating systems shared some details about iOS 13 to 9to5Mac's Guilherme Rambo.

iPad:

iOS 13 includes a number of improvements for the iPad, including apps that support multiple windows - each of which is attached to a portion of the screen and can be moved by dragging and dropping, and the Window becomes a card after dragging. These cards can also be layered and have a depth effect to make it easy to distinguish between the top and bottom cards.

Apple also added a new gesture to the undo feature. Just put three fingers in the keyboard area, swipe left to undo, and swipe right to redo. When the user first uses the keyboard, there is a teaching demonstration, as developers can use the API to implement undo and redo gestures in their own apps.

Furthermore, the Safari browser in iOS 13 for iPad automatically requests the desktop site. There will be also a new "font management" feature, developers will be able to use the new font selection component. If the document opened by the user is missing a font, the system will prompt you to select the font.

Both iPhone and iPad:

The long-awaited dark mode will finally be introduced in iOS 13. Users can turn on system-level dark mode in settings, and is similar to macOS' dark mode. In iOS 13, the Mail app becomes intelligent and automatically sorts emails, such as marketing emails, receipts, and spams. At the same time, Mail will support collaboration features from apps like the Pages, Numbers and Keynote. It will also add a multi-selection gesture to the Mail app,

Other new features in iOS 13 include a redesigned Reminder app, a new volume indicator, a better "Hey Siri" that automatically eliminates noise, keyboard with multi-language support and dictation, and better in-app Print functionality.
