First reported by MacRumors, Apple is recommending Aperture users via a new Support document that the app won't able to run in the future version of macOS after Mojave. Instead, it has provided steps to walk through on how to move your Aperture libraries to the Photos app or Adobe Lightroom Classic.
Following the release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.13 in June 2014, Apple declared the discontinuation of development of Aperture and removed the app from the Mac App Store. Though, it continues to function for users who still have it installed. However, for technical reasons, particularly some formats or codecs incompatibility, Aperture will not run in future versions of macOS after macOS Mojave.
To continue working with Aperture photo libraries, users must migrate them to the Photos app included with macOS, or migrate them to Adobe Lightroom Classic. It has listed multiple articles on how Photos handles Smart Albums, metadata, and keywords from iPhoto or Aperture libraries, and how you can use a the built-in tool for migrating Aperture libraries to Lightroom catalogs.
