Apple Issues Second Beta Of iOS 13, macOS 10.15 Catalina, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 (New Features And Changes)

Apple has just released the second beta of upcoming iOS 13, iPadOS, macOS 10.15 Catalina, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 to developers. Developers are required to signup Apple's Developer Program, and thus to download the profile for these updates from Apple's Developer Center, so you can install iOS 13 and tvOS 13 via Software Update tab in the Settings app, macOS 10.15 in System Preferences, and watchOS 6 through Watch app on your iPhone.



iOS 13 introduces a number of new feature for both iPhone and iPad: a new system-wide Dark Mode; overhauled Photos app that includes a new tab that curates your entire Photos library and the ability to edit video, such as cropping, rotating, applying filters; a redesigned and less destructive Volume HUD; a "Simple with Apple" feature that offers a simple and safe way to sign in to apps and websites, Siri now has a new voice, and more!

macOS 10.15 Catalina, however, introduces three new apps: Music, Podcasts, and TV apps, as Apple finally eliminated the iTunes app. The new operating system also includes a new Sidecar feature to let you turn your iPad into a second display for your Mac. Moreover, Screen Time is now available on the Mac to monitor the time you spent on the Mac, and the new initiative Project Catalyst will saw many iPad apps coming to the Mac.

As far as watchOS 6 and tvOS 13 concerned, watchOS 6 will help Apple Watch users better control health and become more independent, as it grants you the access to dynamic new watchfaces and App Store app directly from Apple Watch, new Audiobooks, Voice Memos, and Calculator apps, along with a new Noise app and a new Cycle Tracking app. tvOS 13 gains support for picture-in-picture, which allows you to continue watching TV shows or movies while using other apps, and multi-user support.

  • The Downtime feature in Screen Time now syncs to the Apple Watch
New features and changes in tvOS 13:
  •  Gains support for Picture-in-Picture
