Apple collaborated with Best Buy to provide expanded locations in Apple Authorized Service Centers, allowing customers to have convenient expert service and safer repairs for iOS devices and Macs. This includes using genuine Apple parts and servicing Apple products more safely, correctly and properly.

According to Tara Bunch, Vice President of AppleCare, she says that,
“At Apple, we’re dedicated to providing the best customer service in the world. If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly. We’re always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we’re excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it’s even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.”
She explains why Apple users need access to repairs for their products without any contraindications or faulty parts. On the other hand, she also encourages the Best Buy stores to offer Apple Authorized Training to their Geek Squad employees. In essence, this change will allow more customers to have access to trusted, certified Apple technicians even when they have to drive far to an Apple Store.

Next, customers living in rural areas and across the United States can get safer and faster iPhone, iPad and Mac repairs at their local Best Buy’s Geek Squad. Contrary to the point, there’s been over 7,600 new Geek Squad technicians this year, which are all Apple Certified.

Best Buy’s Services President, Trish Walker makes a statement about the partnership with Apple:
“We love being there for our customers no matter what their Apple need is, from helping them choose the right device, to offering AppleCare protection and now helping fix their devices. We’ve always enjoyed a great partnership with Apple and we’re thrilled that, together, we can better serve our customers.”
Besides the changes in Best Buy’s Geek Squad, there have been over 1,800 Apple Authorized Services Providers in the US, all certified for safety, reliability, and accuracy of servicing Apple products. That is tripled from the data in 2016, which means that 8 out of 10 Apple users will be nearby an authorized service provider in under 20 minutes.
