Apple List Ways To Protect Your Apple Card From Scratches, Discoloration, And More

Apple previously announced that the Apple Card is now available to users in the US, and the company has stated in a new support document that the titanium-made credit card cannot be in contact with fabrics such as leather or denim, which would cause the credit card to suffer from permanent discoloration.

From the support document, it says that since the Apple Card is a titanium card, information such as the logo of the Apple, the name of the cardholder, etc. are laser etched, and the signature white finish is achieved by some titanium-based multilayer coating materials. Therefore, if the Apple Card is in contact with hard material or a rough surface, it may damage the coating and cause scratches.

If the Apple Card has a certain stain, the user can wipe it with a soft, moist, lint-free microfiber cloth, or with an infiltrated isopropyl alcohol microfiber cloth.

Apple advises that household cleaners, sprays, solvents, ammonia, and other cleaning agents can not be used for the surface cleaning of Apple Card. It also warns users that when storing the Apple Card, you need to put it in a wallet, pocket or bag made of soft material. The credit card should not be stored with coins, keys or other cards, otherwise, it may be scratched, Apple specifics.

Lastly, Apple strong suggests you don't place or store your titanium Apple Card card near magnets. If a card is placed close to a magnetic latch on a purse or bag, the magnetic strip can become demagnetized.
