96W Power Adapter For The Rumored 16-Inch MacBook Pro Surfaces

A reliable source has suggested that Apple is about to release a 96W power adapter. Reflecting Apple products that are currently on sale doesn't require such a large power supply, it is very likely that the power adapter is prepared for the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Chongdiantou, who has repeatedly leaked details about Apple's charging accessories (including the latest 18W USB-C charging adapter), confirmed the presence of this charging unit, model A2166, and carry the same design as the 87W power cable used in the 15-inch MacBook Pro. It has four gear configurations: 5.2V 3A, 9V 3A, 15V 3A, 20.5V 4.3A, all of which are supported

This is not the first time we've heard the digit 96W. Apple's upcoming professional monitor Pro Display XDR can also be powered up to 96W from the main Thunderbolt 3 connector.

It is speculated that Apple is already manufacturing a 16-inch MacBook Pro, designed by the Apple Mac Pro team and presumably to partly inherit the development of the modular hardware for professional applications, adapting a scissor-foot keyboard, and ships alongside the custom Intel's latest 10nm Ice Lake processors.

In addition, Apple is likely to host another hardware event in October, as in previous years, concentrating on the new Mac and iPad Pro, but this year we are also expecting to see devices such as the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the new generation of Apple TV.
