iOS 13.2.2 Publicly Released: Changes And Features!

iOS 13.2.2 has many bug patches that caused concern for iPhone and iPad users alike. These issues include the RAM processing infrequent app refresh, no cellular service in iPhone calls, unavailable replying to encrypted Exchange emails and Lightning accessory charging issues. In addition, the RAM issues were the most significant problem that Apple has addressed, especially for those who have the latest iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

The release notes from Apple lists all of the aforementioned changes and bug fixes. Here are the iOS 13.2.2 release notes from Software Update:
iOS 13.2.2 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:

- Fixes an issue that could cause apps to quit unexpectedly when running in the background
- Resolves an issue where iPhone may temporarily lose cellular service after a call
- Addresses an issue where cellular data may temporarily not be available
- Fixes an issue that caused replies to S/MIME encrypted email messages between Exchange accounts to be unreadable
- Addresses an issue where using Kerberos single sign-on service in Safari may present an authentication prompt
- Resolves an issue where charging may be interrupted on YubiKey Lightning-powered accessories
In the public release of iPadOS 13.2.2, the release notes are similar but without the cellular issues regarding calls made on the iPhone. Here are the release notes from Apple:
iPadOS‌ 13.2.2 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPad. This update:

- Fixes an issue that could cause apps to quit unexpectedly when running in the background
Therefore, both of these software releases have issues pertaining to authentication, YubiKey Lightning accessories, Exchange email encryption and mostly the RAM performance. The RAM performance issues include the apps refreshing and reloading after switching to another app and then going back to it after a short period. This is also one of the most common issues that iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro users went through in iOS 13.2, which is why they released the update. Apple always takes customer feedback on iOS software, including iOS beta testers, in a crucial manner to provide a better user experience.
