2020 iPhones Said To Feature New Circuitly For Larger Battery

Among the many new features of the iPhone 11 series, the significantly enhanced battery life should be one of the highlights. Thanks to the extended battery capacity and power management of the A13 Bionic chip, the battery life of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max has been drastically improved, for instance, the iPhone 11 Pro Max has 5 hours more battery than the iPhone XS Max. However, 2020 iPhones might include an even larger battery...

According to the Korean industry publication The Elec, citing industry sources, iPhones will feature a customized battery protection circuit module in 2020, which will be 50 percent smaller and thinner than the type used on the current iPhone, and thus, will expand the internal space of the new iPhone. The utilization rate will result in even bigger battery capacity.
In the new iPhones to be released in 2020, however, industry sources believe the PMP may be applied. They say that PCs and tablets may also be supplied with the circuits.
As per the article, the new iPhone battery protection circuit module will be manufactured by the IMT Semiconductor and will use the new PMP packaging technology. Since this design incorporates protection ICs, switching devices and printed circuit boards, the scale of the protection circuit will be 50% smaller than the previous common PCM packaging technology without needing the holder case.

Apple is expected to launch four new iPhones next fall, including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch edition. These four models are anticipated to be built with OLED displays, 5G support, and an iPhone4-like metal mid-frame. The two higher-end models will also have higher-end display technology and will be mounted with a 3D sensing ToF camera.
