iPhone SE 2 With 4.7-Inch Display Rumors To Be Called 'iPhone 9'

The much-rumored iPhone SE 2, apparently, will be called "iPhone 9," a fresh report from the Japanese tech blog Mac Otakara suggests, who have quoted the so-called "informed source."


The report states that the iPhone SE2 may launch in the spring of 2020 with the name of iPhone 9, due to it have similar form factor of the iPhone 8 but will feature A13 bionic chips, and without 3D Touch.

Other rumored features that's coming to iPhone SE 2 includes a single-lens rear camera, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, as well as the 3GB RAM. It is unclear whether it supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, but it's expected to adopt the same SLP motherboard tech found on iPhone 11 series.

According to the well-known Ming-Chi Kuo, the budget smartphone would feature an LCP or liquid crystal polymer antenna layout for better wireless connectivity, along with 64 GB and 128 GB storage options, and available in Space Gray, Silver and Red colors.

The current price of the iPhone 8 is between $449 and $499, so the cost may be the same or slightly lower. 

Finally. it’s anticipated that the shipments will be between 2 million and 4 million units per month, with 30 million expected to be sold by the end of the next year.
