Kuo: 'AirTag,' 4.7-Inch iPhone, New iPad Pro Models, More Expected In 1H 2020

In his latest research report, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo detailed Apple's latest product proposal for the first half of 2020 and expects the company to launch Ultra Wideband tags, high-end wireless headphones, a 4.7-inch iPhone, new iPad Pro models, as well as refreshed MacBook Pro/Air models.

Kuo pointed out in the report that the so-called "AirTag" will support Ultra-Wideband, which would likely make it possible to locate the tags with much greater accuracy than Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi.

The analyst believes that Apple will launch the 4.7-inch iPhone at a cheaper price in Q1 2020. Most of its design and hardware specifications are similar to those for iPhone 8. However, the notable spec changes are the A13 processor and 3GB LPDDR4X RAM.

Ming-Chi Kuo went on to suggest that new models with a triple-lens rear camera system that supports 3D sensing for augmented reality are expected to be unveiled as early as March.

He also pointed out in the report that high-end headphones will likely hit stores in the first half of 2020, but beyond that, no additional details were provided at this point.

Furthermore, Kuo believes Apple will unveil a new generation of MacBooks In the second quarter of this year and should see the laptops feature the much-anticipated scissor mechanism keyboards.

The interesting part of the report is that Kuo also mentioned a smaller wireless charging mat that will be available within the next five months, as Apple halts the production of AirPower, and canceled it last year due to the heating issues it faced.

Last but not least, Kuo says that he anticipates Apple will launch LCD iPhones with Touch ID Power Button in 2021, but the trade-off is that it lacks Face ID, which should make the device have a nearly edge-to-edge design with an extremely small cutout in the front for a selfie camera.
