Kuo: There Will Be New Suppliers For Apple Watch, AirPods Pro & iPod Touch

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo pointed out in the latest research report that in 2020 Apple's new Apple Watch, AirPods Pro and iPod Touch will have new suppliers and assemblers.

First of all, Kuo expects the Chinese company GoerTek in the first half of this year to start manufacturing Apple AirPods Pro. Having a second manufacturer would expand the availability of these popular wireless headphones in addition to Luxshare Precision.

Kuo went on to say that in 2020, Luxshare is expected to replace Quanta Computer as the exclusive assembly and SiP supplier to the new Apple Watch, securing 50% to 60% of Apple AirPods orders.

Ultimately, in 2020, BYD Electronics is expected to replace Quanta as the iPod Touch's exclusive assembler and receive at least 10-20 percent of iPad orders. If it goes well, in 2021 and beyond, the company expects to receive a larger proportion of orders.
