MacBook Air Updated With Faster Performance, Magic Keyboard, And $999 Starting Price

Alongside the new iPad Pro refreshes, Apple today also updated MacBook Air with faster performance, the new Magic Keyboard, twice the storage and a new lower price of $999, and $899 for education.


Now comes with the latest 10th-generation Intel Core processors up to 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz, the new MacBook Air delivers up to two times faster CPU performance and up to 80 percent faster graphics performance, allowing customers breeze through daily activities and play more games. And an Intel Iris Plus Graphics offering up to 80 percent faster graphics performance

According to Apple, the new MacBook Air has a gorgeous retina (2560 x 1600) display, Touch ID, up to 16GB high-performance 3733MHz Memory, and the high-speed solid-state hard disk has a starting capacity of 256GB, which is twice the standard of the previous generation. It can also be equipped with a maximum capacity of 2TB.

The new Magic Keyboard, which was first introduced on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, is now available on the MacBook Air. Optimized 1-mm key-stroke scissors-like structure for a sensitive, comfortable and quiet input experience. Plus, Touch ID is built into the MacBook Air. Just lightly place your finger on the Touch ID sensor to unlock it easily.

Apple's all-new MacBook Air utilizes advanced sound processing and tuning technology, the stereo speakers bring twice the bass range and boost volume by 25%. The three-microphone array captures your voice more accurately as you make FaceTime calls, dictate, and talk to Siri.

The MacBook Air is compatible with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which not only provide ultra-high bandwidth but also consolidates the high flexibility of the USB-C industry standard, making it an incredibly fast universal port. Thunderbolt 3 uses only one interface to integrate data transmission and graphics adapter capabilities. The maximum throughput is up to 40Gb/s, and the bandwidth is twice that of Thunderbolt 2. Only a cable or adapter is required to link hardware.
