Apple Issues Second Beta Of iOS 13.6, Renamed From iOS 13.5.5

Apple today released the second beta of iOS 13.6, yes, the company is yet again relabeling an iOS beta: from iOS 13.5.5 to iOS 13.6. After installing the correct configuration file on Apple's Developer Center website, you can download iOS 13.6 by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.

In iOS 13.6, there are new toggles for customizing Automatic Updates, so now you choose whether or not to automatically download iOS updates when connected to WiFi, as well as whether or not to install software updates overnight as an ‌iPhone‌ charges. Also new in iOS 13.6 is that the Health app now includes a new “Symptoms” section for tracking symptoms of different illnesses.

It was also discovered that iOS 13.5.5 (iOS 13.6) appears to include a new “Apple News+ Audio” feature that will be available through the existing News app, which will get a new “Audio” tab. Users will have access to some recorded audio news instead of text. It will also support integration with Siri.

Plus, code in iPadOS 13.6 indicates that Apple is working on keyboard shortcuts that will enable users who have a Magic Keyboard or other attached keyboard to adjust the brightness of the keys.

Other than that, we also expect iOS 13.6 include bug fixes and improvements, as this may very well be the last round of major software updates to the iOS 13 operating systems.
