PSA: Apple Offering Up To $70 Discount To Some Beats Headphones

Apple is offering special discounts to Beats headphones, and it is only limited to customers based in the United States. The promotion comes after rumors have suggested that Apple will debut its own branded "AirPods Studio” over-ear headphones later this month at WWDC.

The promotion, which goes live today, having seen the Beats Solo Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones discounted from $299.95 to $229.95, a $70.00 discount, the Powerbeats Pro - Totally Wireless Earphones discounted to $199.95 from $249.95, a $50.00 in savings, and the Powerbeats High-Performance Wireless Earphones discounted from $149.95 to $129.95, a $20.00 in savings.

It's definitely worth to note that Apple would offer Beats headphone discounts at the time when WWDC will be held in just eight days, which led us to think that the company is beginning to reduce inventory so that the upcoming “AirPods Studio” headphones will be able to be available to purchase in the future.

Rumors have it that the "AirPods Studio" will feature Noise Cancellation, equalizer settings controlled through an iOS or Mac device, and head and neck detection, similar to the ear detection in the AirPods.

Apple could also be working on two designs: a premium one with leather-like fabrics" and a "fitness-focused model that uses lighter, breathable materials with small perforations," according to Bloomberg. Both versions may feature magnetic ear cups and headband padding that's able to be swapped out for a customizable look, something that's possible on the Apple Watch.

As regards pricing, Jon Prosser of YouTube channel Front Page Tech says that Apple is planning to sell the AirPods Studio for $349, which is the same pricing as the current Beats Studio in the Beats lineup.
