iCloud Keychain Gets New "Security Recommendations" Menu In iOS 14

iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 has introduced substantial improvements to the iCloud Keychain. one of them is on how it allows users to get further useful information about their passwords.

iCloud Keychain, which stores and synchronizes passwords of various websites and apps via iCloud. In iOS 14, Apple has provided a new "Security Recommendations" menu, which only displays your passwords that may put your account at risk for any cause, including passwords that are easy to guess, even those that might be leaked on the Internet.

The iCloud Keychain now interprets what is wrong with the password for each specific account stored there, so users can learn more about creating stronger passwords. Some of the features already exist in iOS 13, but they are not as prominent in iOS 14.

iCloud Keychain can now verify whether your password involves data leakage. This is important, not only allows you to change your password immediately but also understands which other accounts may be affected if you use a duplicate or similar password.

Beyond iCloud Keychain, Apple is also adding Touch ID and Face ID support in Safari through the Web Authentication API, as well as unveiled an open-source project to help developers support strong passwords that are compatible with popular websites.
