Apple Confirms iPhone SE 2 Sold In India Is Made In India

Apple today confirmed that the second-generation iPhone SE sold in India is assembled in the country.

In a statement to The Verge, Apple said:

iPhone SE packs our most powerful chip into our most popular size at our most affordable price and we're excited to be making it in India for our local customers.
The new iPhone SE is assembled at Wistron's factory in Bengaluru, India, and Wistron is also responsible for iPhone 7 orders. Prior to this, Wistron was tied to orders for the first-generation iPhone SE and iPhone 6s.

Last week, it was reported that Wistron would also take over iPhone 12 orders. Foxconn, Apple's largest supplier, is also preparing to expand in India. Currently, Foxconn is responsible for iPhone 11 and iPhone XR orders.
