In a press release today, Apple has announced “Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special,” an exclusive holiday event from worldwide superstar and multi-platinum, multi-Grammy award-winning artist Mariah Carey, will debut globally on Apple TV+ this holiday season.
The new special is scheduled to air on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Carey's classic No. 1 holiday hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You," featuring the legendary icon Carey and a star-studded cast of surprise guest appearances, on a magical holiday journey to enliven the spirit of Christmas around the world.
Apple says that the groundbreaking special will incorporate music, dance, and animation, motivated by a profoundly heartwarming story that brings the world together.
Mariah Carey will serve as an executive producer on the special for production company Done + Dusted, known for "The Disney Family Singalong" and "The Little Mermaid Live." It will be directed by BAFTA Award winner Hamish Hamilton and Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Roman Coppola.
