iPhone 12 Again Rumored To Ship Without The Charger And EarPods

iPhone 12 is again rumored to ship without the charger and EarPods, this time from analysts at the Taiwan-based research firm TrendForce, who had previously shared accurate info about Apple's MacBook Pro product lineups.

TrendForce suggests that because the 5G support, iPhone 12 models will be more expensive than its predecessors, thus, removing these accessories from the box will be one way that the company "cut costs and stabilize retail pricing."

Another factor would be that the lack of accessories is expected to "help with sales performance," a similar prediction that analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made earlier in which he expects by not including EarPods in the packaging box could drive sales of Apple AirPods

The potential pricing of the iPhone 12 models have also been revealed:
  • iPhone 12: Starting price between $699 and $749
  • iPhone 12 Max: Starting price between $799 and $849
  • iPhone 12 Pro: Starting price between $1,049 and $1,099
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max: Starting price between $1,149 and $1,199
Since there will be no charger bundled, Apple is said to introduce a new 20W fast charger for iPhone 12 models that will be sold separately. At the very least though, the Cupertino firm does plan to include a Lightning to USB-C cable in the box
