Leaker Shows Off Possible iPhone 12 Display Unit

A new image from a somewhat reliable leaker shows what is said to be the display unit of one of the upcoming iPhone 12 models.

The leaker "Mr. White" made no further comment. There is no precise way to estimate the size of the model, but if we have to, we ought to be looking at the size from the iPhone 12 instead of the iPhone 12 Pro.

From what we can see, this new unit has a reoriented display connector, reaching up from the bottom of the display, as opposed to the left-hand side on ‌iPhone 11 Pro‌, suggesting that the logic board moved to the other side of the device, so to accommodate the 5G antenna module in all four ‌iPhone 12‌ models.

Despite the four expected models of the iPhone 12 lineup are all believed to use OLED displays, Samsung is expected to manufacture displays for the two higher-end models. It is predicted that both iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will use Super Retina XDR OLED Display that comes with ProMotion and 10-bit color depth.

Leaker Mr. White had previously claimed that iPhone 12 will ship with a 20W power adapter. but there have been more rumors that the lineup will not include a charger in the box, though a 20W charger was subsequently found in the official regulatory documents.

Apple has previously confirmed that the iPhone 12 will be released "a few weeks later" than the iPhone 11 last year. To echo that, a recent supply chain report shows that Apple may launch a 5G iPhone in two stages, with two 6.1-inch models in the first stage and two 6.7 and 5.4-inch models in the second stage.
