Leaker Jon Prosser tweeted this weekend that Apple’s press release for new products is scheduled at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on September 8, but he also said "it is not locked in until the press has been briefed".
Prosser did not disclose what products are going to be released, but at the previous earnings call, Apple had predicted that the new generation of iPhone would not be available as in previous years and maybe delayed for several weeks (the release time may not necessarily be delayed).
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, however, inferred that it's unlikely Apple would launch new products this week, instead, he thinks that the company is expected to announce the upcoming September iPhone/Apple Watch event. "I wouldn’t get too excited about rumors of new Apple products appearing this week", said Gurman.
Alongside introducing the iPhone 12 lineup and new Apple Watch models, rumors have it that iPad Air 4, AirPods Studio, and HomePod 2 will also make a debut at the event.
