Bloomberg: New Apple TV With Upgraded Remote, iPhone 12, iPad Air, Smaller HomePod, And More Coming This Fall

Apple is working on a new version of Apple TV, which will be featured with a faster processor and a new remote that will support Find My-like capabilities, as per a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. In the report, Gurman also claims that Apple will launch the iPhone 12, Apple Watch Series 6, iPad Air, smaller HomePod, and the high-end "AirPods Studio" wireless headphones.

The report stated that this new Apple TV may not be released until next year. The newly designed Apple TV remote and the company has made it easier for users to find the remote. In terms of capacity, the new Apple TV may offer 64 and 128GB options.

As for the iPhone 12, Bloomberg said it will feature iPad Pro-style squared edges and a new dark blue color for the Pro models. Pro models will also feature stainless steel edges while standard models will utilize aluminum, similar to the current ‌iPhone‌ lineup.

Cupertino will also release two new Apple Watches, one of which is a high-end model, an upgrade to Apple Watch Series 5, perhaps named Series 6. There is also a model for the low-end market that will replace Series 3.

The high-end Apple Watch Series 6 will support blood oxygen monitoring sensors. The low-end Apple Watch will support some of the features that appeared on Series 4 and Series 5, such as faster processor, fall detection, etc., but will not adopt an edge-to-edge screen design.

While the report only states the new iPad Air will sport an edge-to-edge ‌iPad‌ Pro-style display without other details, according to the leaked user manual, the new Air will be using a USB-C port and support Face ID.

Other new products include the new AirPods Studio premium headphones, as well as the small-sized, low-cost HomePod.
